The eagles have landed!
A new family has moved into the area. Since early April, there have been many sightings of eagles flying by or perched in trees. It appears to be a family of two adults and a juvenile that have established a nearby nest. They seem to like the west end of the lake, and are often seen flying low over the water, and perhaps scooping up a fish, before eventually flying to other areas. Here, I’ve started a photo gallery of the ones I’ve seen (and been able to get a decent shot of), but if you have any photos you’d like to include here, please sent them to news@lakelucille.org. I’d like to see this be a living gallery of eagle photos. Enjoy! –Rik Paul
