“Delights the eye and inspires the mind
to calm and peaceful thoughts.”

Our lake, our home, our responsibility.

Our lake and grounds are the core of our community. Season by season, they’re a source of scenic beauty, our recreational playgrounds, and the bond that draws us together. Please treat them with respect, be a good neighbor, and help us build a better community by volunteering.

News & stuff

Gear up, kids! The Fishing Derby is this Sunday, June 14.

Updated info: Enjoy “Brunch with Bass” at the Baby Lake, as your kids “compete” for catching the most and largest fish. (Spoiler alert: every kid goes home with a prize!) It’s open to all kids 13 and under. Signups will be at 10:00 am, with the derby taking place from 10:30-11:30 am. Worms will be provided but bring your own poles. Aileen McDonald will again be organizing the event, and she’s asking for volunteers to help with the derby, and to bring brunch munchies. Contact her by email at awol30@me.com. More details to come.

Brook Lane dedicated to Lake Lucille resident Larry Rose.

On June 6, Clarkstown held a dedication ceremony for Larry Rose, who grew up in Lake Lucille on Brook Lane, but died in active military service in Vietnam on June 10, 1968. Larry was the older brother of Glen Rose of 6 Brook Lane. Led by Supervisor George Hoehmann, the ceremony was well attended by town representatives, Lake Lucille residents and family members, Vietnam veterans, the Clarkstown Police Honor Guard, and more. Doug Davidson, a childhood friend of Larry’s, gave a moving speech that provided insight into Larry’s childhood in the community as well as his natural leadership ability. We hope to be able to post a copy of that speech here in the near future. It’s worth reading.
