“Delights the eye and inspires the mind
to calm and peaceful thoughts.”
Our lake, our home, our responsibility.
Our lake and grounds are the core of our community. Season by season, they’re a source of scenic beauty, our recreational playgrounds, and the bond that draws us together. Please treat them with respect, be a good neighbor, and help us build a better community by volunteering.
News & stuff
Memorial street dedication planned for : Saturday, June 6.
Coinciding with the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, the Town of Clarkstown will hold a ceremony dedicating Brook Lane to Lake Lucille’s own Lawrence Oliver Rose, the brother of Glen Rose of 6 Brook Lane. Then a PFC in the US Army’s 101st Airborne Division, Larry was killed in action on June 10, 1968, in Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, and others. In our community, the ballfield flagpole was erected in his honor. The dedication will be held at 11 am at the corner of Brook Lane and Lucille Blvd. All are welcome (and there will be some seating). Please note that the bridge and Brook Lane will likely be closed for the event.
Kids, save the date! The Fishing Derby will be on Sunday, June 14.
Enjoy “Brunch with Bass” at the Baby Lake, as your kids “compete” for catching the most and largest fish. (Spoiler alert: every kid goes home with a prize!) Signups will be at 11:30 am, with the derby taking place from 12:00-1:00 pm. Aileen McDonald will again be organizing the event, and she’s asking for volunteers to help with the derby, and to bring brunch munchies. Contact her by email at awol30@me.com. More details to come.
